Beersheba
Named after the biblical city of Be'er Sheva, this quaint community is nestled on the opposite side of North Ola Road, heading towards the picturesque Snapping Shoals. In its heyday, Beersheba boasted numerous general stores, among them the iconic Jeffares Store, and was home to multiple schools, most notably the historic Beersheba schoolhouse situated near the crossroads of Honey Creek Road and Snapping Shoals Road.
As the neighboring Ola community flourished, Beersheba seamlessly integrated into its expanding folds. Today, the remnants of Beersheba are encapsulated in the community's collective memory, with only the voting precinct proudly carrying its name standing as a tangible reminder of its rich history. Though the physical traces may have faded, the spirit of Beersheba lives on in the shared stories and traditions of those who once called this community home.
